2024-2025 will be a very big change. After 20 years in the same place, I've ​decided to go on great adventure and move with my boyfriend to Western ​Canada.

I've been breeding whippets for nearly 18 years, starting a new life and ​relocating takes a lot of time and energy, so I'd like to inform you that only ​one litters are planned for 2024 season.

About ME

I have been passionate about animals since I was a child. I got my first Whippet 17 years ​ago. I am a small breeder in an agricultural environment. My dogs are free daily and have ​plenty of space to play and run.

Meet myfirst whippet from Texas-WHITLEY 17 years

Whippets are a popular choice for families ​as they are so calm and gentle around ​children. Ideally suited to young families ​who love to explore the great outdoors. ​They are playful bred but quiet in the ​house.

Widely known as couch potatoes,they ​make excellent house pets and are often ​described as being “velcro dogs” because ​they love to be close to their humans. ​Whippets love to cuddle and as a whippet ​owner, you will rarely be without a soft ​friend to snuggle up with.

Why Choose a Whippet?

In size, the whippet is just small enough to ​sit in your lap and just large enough to be a ​good running partner.

Although whippets stand about 19 to 22 ​inches tall, with their slender build they ​weigh only about 20 to 45 pounds. Most ​probably weigh in at around 30 pounds and ​has a lifespan of roughly 12-15 years

Affectionate and loving Whippets are great for ​a whole range of owners, including first-time ​pet parents. "Whippets are adaptable dogs so ​are a suitable for owners in either the country ​or the city

Are Whippets good for first time dog owners ?

Whippets can be trained to live with the family ​cat, especially if you start socialization and ​training when they are a puppy.

Whippets are a popular choice for families as they are so calm and gentle around children.

As they are a little sensitive, we'd recommend a home with slightly older children who understand when to give your dog space.

Whippets are calm-natured companions, ideally suited to young families who love to explore the great outdoors. They need a fair amount of exercise, so if you're keen to get out walking every day, they may just be the perfect furry friend for you.

This is not generally a very vocal ​breed, and some hardly ever bark at ​all.

The most common reason for a ​whippet to bark is that he has learned ​that he gets what he wants by barking. ​However, and some of them do bark ​when they're playing.

Our puppies have been trained from the ​age of 6 weeks to stay free and come ​back when we call them they are great ​off the leash but you definitely need to ​train them and train them properly.

They love their freedom to run but they ​love being by your side too and that is the ​glue that will be your useful tool to keep ​them coming back.

Are Whippets high maintenance ?

Despite the breed's ​elegant looks the whippet ​is a robust, low-​maintenance dog.

OPTION 1 :

I can ship with Air Canada Cargo to most Canadian provinces, ​I purchase the IATA approved kennel and the veterinary ​documents. The cost of shipping with the kennel is ​approximately $450-550 Puppies need to be more than 12 ​weeks old.

OPTION 2:

My professional work brings me to travel, Toronto pearson / ​winnipeg / Regina airport and occasionally Calgary. I can take a ​dog with me has passenger. The cost is $400 with the purchase of ​the crate.

OPTION 2:

I also breed horses, which brings me to Ontario on a regular basis.
